Customer comments:
Mom: "Do you have size 0 jeans for my daughter?"
Me: "Yes, what kind does she like? Bootcut, flared?"
Mom: "Show me what you have."
Me:"Here's the bootcut, etc.."(Saying she probably wouldn't like it for a couple
diff reasons. Then I ask the girl what color jeans she likes.
Girl:" I don't like the dark or the light ones."
Me annoyed:" Then what color do you like?"
Girl:" I don't know." UGH...dumb girl.
So I pull down a pair of jeans in the size she needed. The mom asks what size
they are. Um....the size you asked for!!!!!! People are SOOOOOOO stupid and
never really listen to you. Plus this lady I know comes in every once in awhile
and she acted like she didn't recongize me. Whatever. I guess that was my main
complaint tonight and the least of my worries, but it just drove me nuts! haha. Ok my venting is over now.

What have I been up to?? Pretty much just living at work. Helped out with the See You at the Pole rally last night at church where 5-6 other church groups came. It was weird, but cool to see all these teens coming through our front doors. I passed out the devotionals along with 2 other friends and it was crazyness with everyone coming in. The praise & worship team..House of Praise..was awesome and I enjoyed the music. Our sticks drama team presented their drama and did an awesome job. We did it in Denmark so it was cool to see it performed again.

I'm also glad & excited my tv shows (of what's left..not many) are new for the season. Now I have to tape them all b/c of work at night, but it's a treat to come home and watch them later on. I love my Gilmore Girls!!! :)

Oh today & yesterday got a couple things at work b/c of markdowns...yea..they always get me..tee heeee

Not much planned for the weekend except long days at work. I can't wait for this next week to be over b/c Oct 7th is zoo day and I can't wait!!!

Customer comments:
The dad comes up to the counter and tells me his son can't try on the coords. Why you ask? His son can't try on the coords because he doesn't have any underwear on. Nice. Very, very nice......Yea and that's the husband of the woman who came in the day she was in labor!!!

Co-worker story from Wednesday:
I was in adult and around 12 a worker guy came in asking if any of us drove a blue van that had been running since 9:30. None of us in adult did. So eventually I gave breaks to people in Baby, then Kids. I was talking with my friend in kids (a grown woman) and she said she locked her keys in her car earlier. Her dad had to drive to her house to get the extra set and bring them to work. Later around 1:30, I was in the back room doing a check and here comes my friend rushing through the back room shouting, "They're going to tow my car!!!!!!!" Yes it was her was blue Kia van that had been running for 4 hours. (Today I found out it only used 1/8th of a tank.) Later I asked her if she had a remote start. "No. I just left the keys in the car with the car running." She said she must of had a lot of things on her mind. So Barb (mgr) had me go to adult to ring and the whole time I was walking over there I was dying laughing. It was the funniest thing I'd ever heard of. My friend said it was the worst day of her life...lol...I told her today she made my day though. :) She's just a funny person and didn't take it personally. I love her!

Gotta love work!

Today I went to Vermilion with my parents. It was fun going to the Soda Grill for lunch. Ok...I ate a Peanut Butter (melted) Veggie Burger. Before you start gagging...the PB burger was on the menu but I switched it to the veggie one. The lady said the PB burger was popular around Elvis' time so...I love PB and thought I'd try it. It was kinda strange. I ate most of it. Wouldn't get it again. eek...Went to antique shops..got 2 mini glass cups that are etched and later we got ice cream. Then tonight I worked 5-9 45.

Ok this is what I wanted to post: Customer Comments from these past 2 days. Here I go:
Yesterday I was in the fitting room and I knocked on a lady's door to see how she was doing. She replied from behind the closed door by saying, "Oh, is that the little girl who's out there?"
Me: "Yes, it's the little girl. Is everything working out for you?".......It's so nice to know exactly how people perceive you and what's on their mind. Yes I am a 'little girl,' and all, but I'd never say that to a SALES ASSOCIATE! Come on now! Oh well..luckily for her I'm nice and just 'rolled with it.'

Customers #2 & #3: Outside the fitting room in men's
There's two guys shopping together and they were having fun being out together looking around. Guy #1 goes in to try on some jeans. He comes out in them and asks me, "Do I look sexy in these?"
Me:" um..(my face was probably red by now)..they look like they fit you well. They're a good length and they look good."
Guy #1: Well you're in H.S., right?
Me:"No."
Guy#1: College?
Me: "No, I graduated college."
Guy #1:"Well see you're still hip." Guy #2:'You'll be glad when you're 45 and looking young."
(Later the 2 guys mentioned they were cousins so i guess I wouldn't be confused to think otherwise. hahha).

Lady today in Kids: "Are you married?" (I wear 3 rings on my ring finger that all go together).
Me: "No."
Lady: "Oh, because you're soooo young. I was gonna say are you in H.S.?"
Me: "No, I'm 22 and I graduated college."
Yea, she was shocked!

I'm never going to win.....*sigh* Yes people I know I'll appreciate me looking like a 10th grader when I'm 45 but NOT NOW so please don't say anything to me! Ay yi yi!

Yea so this morning I go out to the mailbox and I see a lady pushing a girl in a stroller. Well by my first glance I really, truly thought this lady was walking one of those invisible dogs you used to be able to buy at Cedar Point. I glanced again and thought the same thing. Then when I started walking back, I looked at her, she smiled (I smiled back) and saw she was swinging a long stick. I thought it was the weirdest thing.......

Today my parents and I went to the Jewish museum in Beachwood and it was really interesting seeing all of the really, really old artifacts. I enjoyed the art and mosaics. It's amazing how well the artifacts have been preserved. Then on the other hand, it was sad/depressing to see and remember what the Jews went through. In one part they had the KKK hoods-one for an adult and one for a kid. Wow...I never thought they'd have those ugly white hoods for kids...GROSS! Eww every time I see those on tv or I guess right in front of me...I get these horrible feeling that I can't believe people would go to that form of extreme hate to tantilize people just b/c they're different. Yuck.....The rest of the museum was pretty good...lot of history obviously there. After that we went to California Pizza Kitchen at Legacy Village and had some yummy pizza. Then I "raced" home b/c I had to work at 4. (Got home at 3:27..talk about calling it close!) Worked till 9 then came home.

Oh yesterday I was a stand-in greeter b/c someone couldn't be there...it went well..I just didn't like getting up early, but it went ok. Then in Sun. School..since it was just me and the 2 teachers plus the helper, we went to Panera and drank hot chocolate. Needless to say..we had a fun Sunday School lesson ...hehehe...:)

On Saturday I participated in Gap and Banana's 'White Cane Walk'...awareness for blind people laws. It wasn't really a big walk, but my manager asked me to participate in it, so I did. It was fun b/c my partner was the 9 yr old who I babysat later that night. J.T. did a good job leading me with my blindfold on. (We had to walk little ways with a blindfold.) Then later I worked 11-4, and babysat from 6:30-11:15. I had fun with the boys- J.T. (9) and Avery (4). I played the Cars video racing game and won with Franklin the dog in my lap! That was kinda funny. Later was bath time and bedtime. Avery is such a sweet little guy. He's so cute!!! Fun times!

Today I actually had the day off so Audrey and I went downtown to take pics b/c we love doing that. We went to Voinvich Park by the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and the Science Center. We had a lot of fun taking pics of each other. Before that we went to a couple antique shops and walked around. Then we walked around, found some of the huge guitars, the FREE stamp, public square, a fountain, pigeons, a homeless guy on rollerblades with his dog, and then drove back to Lakewood. There we ate at Chipolte (sp?) and got some gelato ice cream after that. We drove through a thunderstorm at 20 mph on the highway, made it to Old Navy, I grabbed some 2.50 pj pants, went to Wal-mart for digital prints then headed of to youth. Whew! It was a lot of fun relaxing and not having to work. :0) Good times! Oh yea I got my suit pants today from jcrew!! I had to order online b/c no one carries my size in the store..yea it's not cheap being a little person.... They fit and I'm soooooooooooo excited! I love 'em!!! ;)

Well I sent off a resume/coverletter for a job and I'm still working on a couple others. It's tough stuff..grr...

Yesterday I dropped off my bridesmaid dress to a friend of the family's house b/c she does alterations. Yea my dress needs a lot hacked off the bottom. Gotta love the 5-6 layers too...lol..:) Then after that of course my mom and I had to get our Clinique 'free gift w/purchase.' yea Those are never free b/c I always find things over 21.50..go figure...

That's about it for now! Enjoy a few pics!!

I thought I should do another mini update since I haven't been on here in awhile.
This week I worked about 35 hours (give/take). That's probably the most I've ever been at Gap. It was tiring, but yea I made it through. Some parts were boring, but customers and the kids of employees made it fun.
BUT...today this one guy who was shopping with his teenage daughter made me so stinkin mad! The dad was a young dad and the girl is probably a sophomore/jr in h.s. (?) So I'm in the fitting room with this new girl and my mgr Barb is helping the girl and dad at the beginning. Well one size in the jeans fit the girl really, really nice. She looked cute in them and they were the right style for her. Well her dad BEGGED to differ. He wanted her to get the next size up where they were a little baggy, too loose b/c she plays sports and she'll "grow into them." "She's going to get bigger anyways. I don't like it when girls wear those really tight fitting jeans...blah blah ..." YEs most people don't. If a pair of jeans fit, they won't be too tight and the pair the girl had on wasn't too tight. So the poor girl tried on like 10 prs of jeans, 1/2 of which were too big, but her dad liked the look of them. So they argued back and forth about how he was going to buy her the bigger ones and she said she wouldn't wear them then. I told the guy that the smaller (Right) size stretches out during the day etc..and he's like " well thank you ELIZABETH (looked @ my name tag) so I've heard your opinion, but now I want to hear Rich's from a guy's point of view...." ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! He ugh..got under my skin. I wanted to deck the guy b/c he didn't want to listen to anyone but himself! He said he listened to his daughter, but he still wanted to control of course. I think he got 2 pairs of the big size for her to "grow into." Anyways...I don't know what he got but Rich told the girl she could exchange later if she needed to. I felt bad for her b/c the dad kept on saying she was going to get bigger etc and that she's smaller right now b/c not so active in sports and doeesn't have all that muscle. What a way to help your teenage daughter's self esteem issues....grrr......he's a punk.
So..still working on the bridal shower plans which are going well. Selling stuff on ebay a little bit. Oh I got a cool black light at Marc's on Wednesday! I can't wait to put it up. I also got Halloween decals for my car. I love halloween stuff. (Not the gross, too scary stuff..yuck). :) That's about it. Not much else going on in this grad's life....sadly to say...
