Hey, It's catch up time. I've been so busy working on school stuff that I haven't had time to write on here. I have a gender & com test coming up on Friday and another test in media criticism on Monday that I have to study for. Lots of reading and the famous flash index cards.
I watched 2 of my favorite shows..I love my Gilmore Girls and 7th Heaven. I can't wait for tonight's premiere episodes of Smallville, Alias, and Everwood! I'll have to tape them tho :( . Sad I know!
Yesterday went to my classes, then during break I was sitting with my friend Yonn and was facing her, then the next thing I know I hear something in my hear ( a whisper). It was Salim. I screamed and it echoed b/c we were in the university center on the 2nd floor by the cafe. Luckily we were by the railing which had posters up so ppl couldn't see me from below, but ahhh he scared me then i felt embarrassed b/c it echoed. It was pretty funny though. I later applied for graduation, so hopefully it all goes through. Then I hung out with Yonn and her son, Jalin while they were in the computer lab for a little bit. Came home, worked on my flash careds and eventually went to church. There weren't a lot of people at youth. Must have other things going on I guess. Julie called me later and I found out 3 possibly 4 of my good buds are coming home in a couple of weeks for fall break. I'll be so happy to see them. I can't wait!!! :) yey! Also talked with Don about coming out to Missouri to see all of my friends and what's going on in lovely Springfield :).
I have to get going for work. yippee!!! I'm so tired tho. I hope I can stay awake!

Rusty and Rascal Posted by Picasa

So far this has been another long week, but a better one! Let's see here. Thursday I went to class, then went to work right after. Worked 12:30-5 again and I can't remember how it went haha. I guess it went okay. Came home and worked on homework oh I worked on my paper that I had to turn in for Friday. We had to do a writing assignment for my media criticism class. We had to make up a tv show and the characters etc and explain why it'd be a good choice to show on CBS. I had been thinking about it all week, but hadn't started to write it until Thursday night. I wrote about a girl who is in the CIA posing as a high school student (b/c she looks young for her age...hmm wonder who that could be?) and she's trying to uncover a drug ring b/c she needs to find a drug that'll cure this outburst of this possible flu. That's the main jist of it. Hope he likes my idea! Then friday I had class, worked till 6, drove home, ate, and watched my fav tv shows, "what i like about you" and "reba." GREAT SHOWS!!
Saturday, worked 10-4 and once again it was choas. Luckily I WAS NOT IN THE STINKIN front again. Shesh, I tell ya almost every single sat im stuck in the front having to greet everyone. I hate it every single week. You're so repetitive saying hi this hi that..ugh. okay i'm done lol. Anyways...I was able to work in the fitting room b/c Dalia wasn't working. So that was fun. I got someone to open up a stupid Gapcard. They drill it in our little heads. It drives me up a wall. I hate it when you're helping one person, then another person needs help but isnt considerate to wait until you're done with the person you're helping. I guess I have a lot of pet peeves while working but I notice these things, they build up then I try not to be snippy to ppl but sometimes I am and make them wait, but they can wait b/c they're shopping and they have time to shop so they have time to wait! (what a run on sentence, huh?) Then later on I was out on the floor and people just assume things like you can help them at any given time...shesh..you can only do so much. People are so needy I tell ya. Luckily one of my bestest buddies, Melissa, and her mom stopped in. She came home for the weekend, and boy was I glad to see her smiling face! I was so excited and glad to stop and block out the chaos for like 5 minutes. I knew the glazed-over-eyed shoppers could live without me for a little bit. Then later on I saw a man from our church getting a b-day present for his wife. I got off at 4..luckily and pleaded w/my mom to go to the Reph's picnic b/c I knew Melissa would be there and food would be there. lol So we went there while my dad went to Sam's Club. It was fun seeing all of these ppl there and hanging out. The bad thing was tho he had a pig roast, and there was a poor piggy head ..CHARRED to death. Ugh I hate it. Like I eat meat and all, but I dont eat meat when I see the head of where it came from. So i was a vegetarian last night and dessert person. (oh i did eat chicken wings hehe). But no PIG! :( poor thing......Came home around 8, took a walk w/my mom...then worked on some homework studying.
Today, so far I've gone to sunday school and church, then out to eat with some friends from church to Subway. Today is the church picnic and it used to be at Weiss Field in avon lake, but since we had a change of pastor from Pastor Bunney, it hadn't been there and it's made me so mad. It's been at the church. There's nothing to do at the church. Oh well it's not my decision anyways, but it was still fun to go to the park for a change of scenery and the tire swing. We have our once a month CHAG cafe's at the church. It's not too much different than that! The food will be good tho!!
I better stop complaining or no one is going to want to read this anymore lol. But that's what's been going on. Oh my friend Julie called yesterday and it was so good to hear from her in Missouri :). love her!! :)
Now gotta look at all the fun ads from the paper. My Sunday ritual. yey!

Continuing from Monday...we had a drunk lady who came into Gap. Ha that was sorta interesting...She was in the fitting room and when she'd want another size pants, she'd just open the door without any pants on (she had underwear on) and didn't care who saw. Then when she found "the pair" she yelled out something. She was pretty happy to find the pair of jeans. (Luckily she was with her husband). After she left the fitting room, whewy you could smell the alcohol. yuck! Her eyes looked kinda dazed too. That was the first drunk customer I had run into at crocker. We had others at Promenade. Watched my fav show 7th heaven when I got home :). Love that show!
Tuesday, class, then worked from 12:30-5. Whoa that's not really a long time, but it seemed like it. I got some "mean, well ansy" customers that day. The first one was buying clothes for twins (in kids) only if we had boxes to box them up in. She didn't buy anything at other stores b/c they didn't have boxes. Well too bad for those other stores. My goodness lady...those stores won't go out of business b/c you won't spend your money there. So she was getting on my nerves, but i didn't let it show. I kept my calm, and luckily the sweater, jeans, and socks fit into one little box and the jean jacket into another. I took my time and carefully put the clothes in the boxes and after i did that, she's like, "i'd hire you." I was like, huh? She said she was impressed with my patience and that i carefully put them in there. I was shocked. She like was totally nice to me now! Then she wanted me to write the names on the bottom of the boxes and she's like, you have really nice handwriting too. I was like whoa lady. you have some niceness in you! So I guess all in all it pays of to keep your cool on the outside even if you're getting really ticked off on the inside. Then the next customer wanted to return these pants where the hook came off, and i found her some pants, same style, but updated and a diff price. She made up her mind she was not leaving w/out the new pants and was not paying the difference. Long story short, my manager was able to do the even exchange for her, but my goodness she was getting huffy puffy and ticking me off. She was mean and annoying. UGH! Glad to see her leave. Plus there was a pregnant lady with her with i.v.'s in her arm...looked like she escaped from the hospital lol. Then the last odd customer...a black guy came in with a bag...oddly shaped and left quickly after we spotted him. Then a black lady came in and had a return w/out a receipt. The whole time she was there we had to really watch her b/c we knew she was trying to steal something. Ugh its so sad you have to babysit people. It's hard to not point certain types of people out, but you recognize them by their behavior and how they act. She did the return and had picked out all this stuff, but of course didn't buy any of it b/c oh she didn't want to spend money. UGHHHH STEALERS/THIEVES/WHATEVER you want to call them make me so STINKING MAD that they get away with it. ITS SO WRONG. SO WRONG. ok enough about my work customers... haha came home and went grocery shopping with the parents and got yummy food then watched GILMORE GIRLS!! WOOT WOOT. that made my day!
Wednesday....
class..yeah got 1 point out of 5 on my int'l com quiz on what's going on in the whole wide world..such a broad subject to be tested on its ridiculous that he did. GRRRR....oh well..life goes on...then brake...ate with Yonn & Salim and class...Gender & com. We're watching Mona Lisa Smile in there :) . Went to the mall and saw my friend Leah and Christina and caught up with them. Came home, napped, hw, and went to the See you at the pole RAlly at my church and helped with registration. We had like 6 churches come to our church and it was awesome seeing so many people there. It went really well and the kids were extremely well behaved. Saw my friend miguel from LCCC and some NR friends too :) Nice catching up with them. Fun night!! Now I better go read some more ....eh... lol

So the weekend has come and past and it wasn't too exciting. Although I did have tons of fun Friday night with one of my best friend's, Bethany. After work, we went and got ice cream at Mitchell's then we wanted to go to Hunnington Beach, but I turned right instead of left, so we ended up in Rocky River at a fishing pier and hung out talking for a little bit. There were some men and boys fishing. Poor fish...I'm not good around seeing animals caught, then dying...eh...Then we went to the beach and walked around and sat on the rock and chatted. We took pics w/my camera phone...hahah silly pics, blk & white pics...whew... fun times. After that we walked around Crocker and went to a couple of the book stores.
Saturday worked 11-4, in adult. It was soo busy and I dont know why! It tired me out, so when I got home I went online, then took a nap, ate, and watched this good movie , Desert Blue, on tv. It had Kate Hudson in it and Casey Affleck. I hadn't heard of it before but I liked it. then I went to bed. I was just exhausted.
Sunday...went to Sunday school (college & career) which they combined with the married class...gotta love being single haha and then church. After church, Brett, Matt, and Leslie's husband Dan, and I went and got Chinese. We walked in the dining room, and we're like, is it open? The guy said, "ok." We're like...hmmm maybe we should just order out. We did, got drinks at Drug Mart, and went to the park to eat. The stupid bees kept on buzzing around me b/c of my sweet and sour chicken. Luckily they didn't want "me" but it was annoying. I was afraid I was going to eat one, but I didn't. After our "picnic" I went home and went online and came back to church. Watched the Emmy's when I came home and some of Pearl Harbor and went to bed!
Now, can anyone tell me how a panda and a penguin are related? Yea according to brett they are b/c of the colors...sure.....and penguins don't have fur. They have feathers.
Ta ta for now!

I haven't posted in awhile so I thought I should. Well Monday morning there was a message on my cell from Bethany to call her, so I did after my 2nd class. She told me Mrs. Kilby had passed away early in the morning (actually 5 hours after a few of us had been up to see her). I felt so bad for Kim and her family. I guess earlier that morning (Sun) Mrs. Kilby was singing "what a beautiful morning the Lord has made...to take her children home." I guess she knew it was her time to go. Last night was her calling hours and the first set from 2-4 I guess there were around 600 people there and the line was still going after 4. I went in the evening (skipped church) and there were a TON of people lined up for their last respects. While waiting in line, I saw a few of the Varsity football players come out with tears coming down their faces. So sad...then I saw Jeremy (Kim's younger brother,14) and he's like ,"the whole varsity team came." I thought that was great they came to support him. I also got to see some old elementary school friends and parents which made me miss them. You go to school in one place your whole life, then go to college and hardly see any of those people again. It's so rough. They're doing well though I was glad to hear. Kim and her family were holding up pretty well. It was tough when I got to them, but it was good to know Mrs. Kilby was with the Lord now in heaven! Adding to what I said earlier, I heard from someone else that I guess the funeral director had never had a funeral that huge. She was surely a testimony to everyone she met. Then today I went to the funeral and missed class (it was ok w/my teacher) b/c I knew I had to be there to support Kim. Her grandma and grandpa looked so sad when they came in that it broke my heart. I saw her grandma last night and she remembered me and looked happy to see me at least. It hurts seeing them hurt, you know even though we all knew it was coming sometime soon. Battling cancer for 6 years is a long time, but now she's not suffering anymore. Pastor Crow, Kim & Doug's pastor gave a great service and told some stories. There was a slide show that Doug (Kim's husband) had put together and I made one picture :) . It was when Kim, Bethany, and I and her parents and Jeremy went ice skating at Public Square one night. It was so much fun and I still vividly remember it. Good times. My mom and I also went to the graveyard and said our goodbyes by putting a flower on the casket. We love you, Jane Kilby!
On the upside of things, I went into work today after I got home from the funeral, and at first I wasn't very happy to be there, but of course, babies always cheer you up. I met this really cute baby, Benjamin (5 mo.) and his mom wanted me to help her try some clothes on him. I was like..ok..this is different..but he was really happy and excited and he let me so it ended up being really fun. I got to hold him and see him "dance" around. He was a cutie. He made my day! (even tho his mom didn't buy anything lol). Later on I met an Indian's player's wife. She was really nice too. Working helped cheer my day up.
Oh last night I called Brett back b/c he had called me last night to tell him when church was over to let him know when we were going out to eat, but yea I wasn't there. Well he and 5 or 6 other people were out at Applebees and the next thing I know, I'm talked to everyone at the table. It was so funny. A few of them asked where I was or the others just said some random stuff...they cracked me up and cheered me up from a sad night. :) That's what friends are for I tell ya! :) Thanks guys!
Besides all the sad stuff, I've been doing some homework, working, and going to class. That's about it. It's been a long week.

Saturday I went to the bank, then I had a half hour before work so I parked and walked over to the Farmer's Market which they set up by Trader's Joe in the parking lot. There they have flowers, fruits, veggies, handmade items, jams, honey, and other crafts. On my way over I walked behind Gap and since Crocker Park isn't done yet, there are still workers there . So I walked by and the next thing I hear is a "whit-woo" whistle and a "hey now!" I just had jeans, a tank, and a long sleeve button-down shirt on over it and sunglasses on. I just kept walking by and didn't look over. I didn't want to see who was whistling....eh...The farmers market was really cool tho. I bought a pair of earrings for my friend Hannah's b-day present and some honey sticks for Brett since he likes those. I worked 11-4 in adult in the front repeating all the time the promo on the stupid cords. UGH My manager said I'd probably be muttering in my sleep the promo and/or dreaming of cords. lol It was a busy day and we were out of a lot of ppl's sizes which was kinda frustrating. I saw a lot of regular customers which made it fun. I love to catch up on what's going on with them. I was very tired out by the end of my shift tho! After work, I went to Matt's house for Hannah's birthday party.(Friends in the youth group) There were only 6 of us there b/c a lot of ppl couldn't come. It was okay tho. We had fun. We went swimming for a little while (Don called and chatted w/him for a bit) and then we ate sloppy joes and later had cake. Jumped on the trampoline, and later on walked to an ice cream shop and ate some ice cream. Then there....I ordered a baby cone and the older guy handed it to me and said, "you're not a baby, but a baby doll." EWWW eh heee blaccc eh (me gagging) Gross....yuck! I couldn't believe he said that. I just kinda walked away and sat down. What was with me? I have no idea....creepy people out there I tell ya and for some reason they let me know they're out there. Then we walked back and started a movie, but then we eventually left. I worked a little bit more on my book review and went to bed.
This morning one of my best friend's, Kim, called and her mom needs prayer b/c they found out tumors had spread to her brain and her mom went into the hospital on Friday. (She's had breast cancer). She may have 1 month- 6 depending on how the radiation works for her. Kim is putting her last semester on hold and Jodi her sister is due in 2 months with her second child. Jeremy, 14, is starting his freshman year in high school, so Kim's family needs a lot of prayer. Please pray for them.
This afternoon I have a leader's meeting..eh hope it goes well. I'm hungry so hopefully lunch will be done soon!!!

Friday-
Slept in a little which was nice today, went to lunch with Yonn- Cafe Aroma and got Chai, walked around campus, then class which we got out early! Yey...watched the rest of Big Fish, worked 3-6 :) lol (little shift ) in adult...I was the ringer for once... fun times!! Yonn and Jalin visited me, but he was sleeping :( oh well. He's still a cute little guy. Then came home, chatted w/brett for awhile on the phone, ate, and started my lovely book review on "Everything Bad is Good for You" for my media criticism class. Good book I must say. I actually wanted to read it! SHOCK SHOCK!
My head is all stuffy..yea my allergies again..I took some tylenol sinus and it seems to be helping but I'm still sleepy...ahhh shuuu...ANyways I am awake, just gotta type out my review now..yippee ..what a Friday night, huh? FUN doing school work. : /

Today, Eliz drove again to int'l business. Class went okay today. We did talk about the chapter but a lot of the int'l students spoke again. I enjoy hearing about their experiences and what they say about ignorant Americans. It's pretty funny, but sad on the other hand ppl are so dumb. Someone from another country said someone else asked them if they had refridgerators and asked this one girl from Tanzania if she "walked" with the lions and tigers. It's just funny to hear about other ppl who think these people live in the middle of nowhere where it's inhumane or something. After class came home, ate, checked email, went to work from 2-6:30. I worked in Babyland for once. That was actually fun. I kinda missed it too. I love helping people pick out baby outfits b/c they're so cute! One lady I met is adopting a little boy whenever he comes. (I guess he was due Mon! lol) Then I worked in adult from 5-6 in the fitting room. I thought it'd be slow, but yea I was wrong! Once again I was helping people with denim, but I enjoyed it. This one lady had a hard time finding jeans, but after goodness who knows how many pairs, I found her 2 styles and they fit her really well. I love it when I make someone's day! I'm so happy they find something to fit b/c she said she only had like 1 pair! I was like whoa!!! Ok enough of my boring work stories...I guess I was excited to go back after not working my usually Mondays and Tuesdays...haha came home, chatted w/bethany who has tickets to the big OSU game!! GO HER!! WOOO!!! Then read some and Amanda called me back and we chatted some. MOre homework...it just never ever ends...shesh..those textbooks..oh well! Better get going..gotta send some emails...

Hey,
Yesterday I got back from Uncle Rob's and Aunt Peg's house. We drove up Sun afternoon and came back last night around 8pm. It was a fun quick trip. We went to their friend's house and had a cookout with their family and their 3 kids..Luciano, Nikko, & Natalia (5, 4, & 2). Cute kids with a lot of energy!! WHOA! Then yesterday (Labor Day) we ate breakfast, watched an old demolition derby tape, went for a Mustang convertible ride...yea i had lovely hair after that, then went to my ALL TIME FAVORITE Little Caesar's pizza pizza. They don't have any around here so most of the time when I go up to visit , we go there to eat..mmmmm yummy. We then watched this movie with golden retrievers in it. I had never heard of it before. It was okay. Then we drove home. It's always so fun to go with parents on a trip and me drive b/c then I have 2, not 1, but 2 backseat drivers...gotta love that..ugh. "Watchout, there's a car stopped/turning/stoplight. Are you 6 carlengths behind the car in front of you? I get better car mileage than you do when I drive...AHHHHH" There were no accidents of any sort either!
Came home, then went to a neighbors house to deliver a couple of presents..a poster and sign with the mustang symbol on it b/c he has a new 2005 mustang gt. Came home, went online, then to bed.
Today Eliz. and I went to class and the whole class time we talked about what's going on in the world and other cultures. It was pretty cool. We didn't even talk about our chapter or the book! :) Good stuff!!

Hello there!
Let's see..whoa I was printing something and the paper just flew at my head...scary..anyways..recap of friday..I went to my 2 classes. First class went okay, then my friend, Yahn & I went to the President's picnic for the welcome back week. I love getting free food. Some of it wasn't that great, but oh well...We had fun. We sat at this table with 2 ppl we didn't know and this one kid (well guy) was kinda funny. He just sat there and didn't say anything & we were just talking and at one point Yahn was like "why aren't u talking?" The poor guy! She's like "I just talk to anyone." lol I guess so! Then she saw someone she knew and we talked to this guy Damion who was carrying around his motorcycle helmet everywhere. I thought that was funny, but then I'm like where else would he put it? We went to gender & com & then I worked 2:30-6. Went to the library, got some movies, went out to eat at Cracker Barrel with my family for their anniversary, read some and watched "Pieces of April" with Katie Holmes. Good movie, but it's really sad!! :(
Saturday ; worked in adult 11-4 multitasker : everywhere in the store...busy day of course with dENIM DENIM AND MORE denim! NEVER ENDING! AHHH! Met some nice people though! After that, came home, took a long nap, ate, read, and watched "Wimbledon" with Kirsten Dunst. Good movie, except it has kinda a lot of sex/swearing in it :( . Thumbs down on that.
write more later; g2g

Elizabeth Saves the Day (of a turtle at least)
Today Elizabeth S. picked me up for school and we went to our International Business class. Our teacher is still hilarous. He was reading off some more crook jokes and "Bushisms" of some sayings President Bush has said in the past that were funny. We had to interview a student from another country, so luckily my friend helped me out who is from Germany. She emailed me some info. Then I found out there are a few people from other countries in my class: Sweden, Vietnam, Africa, Saudi Arabia, and a guy who lived in Germany for 2 1/2 years. I think that's pretty cool! Then came home and ate some lunch. I've been helping my parents with their new flip cell phones b/c they don't know how to work them. It's kinda funny, but fun playing with their phones. So then my dad and I left to go to the mall and Circuit City b/c I wanted a new pic phone, so I had to call a few surrounding stores to locate it b/c the stupid guy at Verizon in N.O. was NO HELP at all. We went to the Verizon store yesterday and that's when my parent's got their phones. Well I was expecting to get one too..different from theirs, but the guy is like "oh it's discontinued." So he did check to see if any were in the back, but then I'm like could you check any other stores, online?? HE said no or not really anything. At that point I was so stinking mad! So then I'm like do u sell the displays? He said no. So ugh....he gets a D+ for customer service. He wasn't that friendly, wasn't offering me any help on finding the phone I wanted, and didn't tell all the new plan info to my parents. So needless to say, I did find the phone on my own. He probably was thinking what's this little girl telling me what to do but oh whatever. Im standing up for myself and he wasn't giving me the customer service I deserved. Anyways....back to today...so my dad and I went a different route to the mall and I crossed the railroad tracks and then I saw one car go over a turtle in the middle of the road then I really had no choice but to go over him too. Well luckily there was a place to turn off into, so just not really thinking, I did, and turned off my car, hopped out , grabbed my keys, ran over to the poor little guy who looked lost, and picked him up. When I bent down, he gave me a "hiss" and then his head and legs disappeared inside his shell. He was a red slider and I just picked him up and carried him over the tracks to a sorta field like place. There was some sorta creek/water nearby, so I put him kinda close to that, far from the road. There were pricker bushes everywhere, but I was okay..kinda itched. Anyways...I rescued the poor little guy. I didn't want him to get ran over!!! Then I cleaned my hand w/my Purell :). We went on our way to Circuit City and I got my new samsung phone. It took forever to get it to program tho...ugh..but I ran into a friend from high school and we chatted for a little while which was nice. Went to a camera store, came home, played w/phone, read some, ate, read, walked, and read some more.
Yesterday I had school, then I met a friend from LCCC at Caribou and we talked for almost an hour 1/2. She's going to OSU soon, but it was fun catching up on things. We really weren't that close, but she's a peppy, fun girl and I had fun. Then church and I came home.
Talk to you later!
