The weekend was eh okay. I did get the majority of my papers done. I only have one more to go. Well I might have to work on my other paper if my teacher sends it back with a lot of comments. I sent him the rough draft to look over for me. Fri- we went shopping at Old Navy first and the lines started at the front of the store and ran all the way to the back. I did try on a few things. Anyways...didn't get anything b/c I didn't feel like waiting 2 hours in line. After that got gas, went to this place called the Backpacker's Shop. It's really cool b/c it has outerwear..north face, columbia I think and Uggs. That's why we went b/c I want a pair but my feet are dinky so I think I want the kids ones. I have to go to Beachwood for them. Plus they're a ton cheaper in kids! After that drove home, went out to Great Northern ..Kaufmann's, Aeropostale...got a long necklace and a pointelle black shirt w/a penguin on it, JCPenney, and Gap where I got a midlength black dressy wool coat. I love it! It was pretty crazy out tho! Whew a lot of ppl were shopping! Came home, ate really quick and went to work from 2:30-6 in Adult. We were pretty slammed. I got to work in the fitting room a lil bit and that wasn't too bad. After I came home I ate and did hw until 12. Sat- worked 11-4, came home and worked on some other papers and did some reading. I was able to fit a little tv in to. Sun- sunday school, church, and went out to eat. A few of my friends were home from college so I enjoyed visiting with them. We went to a place called Moe's where they have quesadillas and salsa etc. I don't think it agreed w/my stomach. Too much butter or something...napped then Juliette and I got free subs at Dave's Cosmic Subs b/c it was an 'invite only' night for workers in Crocker Park with a flier plus a guest. Then we went to church, and after church, julie, lindsay and I went to TGIFridays to talk and eat. Lindsay and I split an oreo madness...yes...tons of calories but they were good hahah. Chocolate sauce and caramel on top..mmm. yummy.
Today I had my 3 classes. Nothing very exciting happened in them. I'm just really tired and wanted to fall asleep in all of them. oh well . Luckily I made it! Tonight I work, but for now I'm going to get something to eat!

Happy Turkey Day everyone!
Today was nice because I was able to sleep in until almost 10! yeah! That only happened once before when I was in Missouri. Now I'm getting to be spoiled, huh? nah...Woke up, watched the Macy's Day parade, ate, finally got dressed around 12 or so and what did I do next? yeah I worked on homework. I think I'm done with my powerpoint. I have to practice it, but I think I have all of the info I want in it for my presentation on Friday. We went to my Aunt Nancy &Uncle Dick's around 3:30 and had our Thanksgiving dinner. It sure was delicious...turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, yams, stuffing, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, greenbean casserole, and of course we had pumpkin pie later on. They have a really nice dog named Brandy who loved for me to pet her tummy. We all had a very nice time chatting and watching "The Polar Express." Then we came home around 8, then I finally (after a very long time) washed some of my "hand wash only" sweaters downstairs. Man that takes so much time I tell ya! They'll be nice and clean ready to wear now! I can't wait!!
Yesterday I had classes all day. Well I went to my first 8 am class. I get there and my friend comes in saying she has a presentation due today. I'm like "ahhhh I have a paper due today and it's at home." I ask her and this other girl what they think and I decide I should take the 30 minute trek home to retrieve my paper. I had plenty of time to get it but I wasn't happy about it. So I made it in plenty of time to turn it in at 9:45. I just had to skip my 1st class. 1st time all this year! (Ha I really didn't care.) Then in my 3rd class we watched this old movie "Nine-t0-five" with Dolly Parton in it. It's really funny. Drove home and worked on fixing another paper...grr...It really started to snow then!! Headed over to Pastor Kevin and Lindsay's around 5:40 and us older people were all hanging out there. It was fun just chillin and then we played a game called 'psychiatrist.' At first the people who didn't play (me, Brett, Garett, Fred, August, and Erik) were in another room and had to wait. Eventually my time came and I played the game. It was fun. I can't tell you how to play it b/c it'll ruin it if u ever play! Then later on I took Julie home and went to bed!
Tomorrow I work but I'm hoping before I do to hit the "big sales" out there! whew!

The weekend went by so fast it seems like. Worked of course Fri and Sat. On Sat I literally rang for 5 straight hours (one 15 minute break) but it was sooo busy! I guess they had me up there b/c someone got a bad comment from a survey about not being friendly or something lol. haha It was fun but I got a lil sore from moving in like 4 directions. I worked on homework later that day and in the evening I met Brett and this other guy (in the youth group) who I call Mango Frodo (b/c he got hit in the head in El Salvador with a mango and he looks like frodo from lord of the rings) aka Andrew, at Midway. We walked around then sat and talked. They talked about some stuff (ie family guy) I had no idea about but that's okay. Nothing new...hahaha...Then on Sunday I went to church and worked on homework that afternoon. At night I had to go to a work meeting for holiday. It was from 6:30-1o! It was soo long. Luckily there were cookies and candy tho! Ha 2 of my co-workers kept me entertained tho. Some of it was fun! Then talked to my best buds Melissa and also Juliette on my phone.
Today at school my friend Yonn wasn't there b/c her baby had croup and was in the hospital. So Salim and I ate lunch together. He kept on singing all these songs which he gets stuck in my head!! AHHH Lol he's funny tho. Then he had his new Madagascar dvd w/him so we watched part of a penguin episode extra on it and a scene from the movie on his laptop. I want to see it now! It's really funny!! Plus Salim was like quoting all the lines with the movie..go figure...Came home and then worked 5-9 in babyland. It was really busy for a monday. I was shocked. Worked with a lot of NICE customers this evening :). Made for a good night!!

Don't you just love it when you're driving in heavy traffic and you're in the fast lane going around 70 (which is an okay speed) and the rest of the traffic is going about the same (or faster for that matter.) You can see the car flying up behind you in your rearview mirror and you know what he/she's going to do: Tail ya until you move over into the other lane. Well if you can't move over or if you know if you stay at the average speed you're going, you'll eventually catch up to the car in front of you and you'll have no where to go so you might as well just stay where you are because it's pointless for the car to go around that's behind you. (talk about a run on sentence here...) So you stay where you are, see the car that's on your butt, and then notice, he's beside you. Then moves in front of you in your nice lil space you had between you and the car in front of you. Well now you don't have that space and you just happen to be on the cars butt who was originally behind you. Yeah see how they like it now!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE IT!!!! CLEVELAND traffic last night and this morning has been horrible! I pray everyday on my way to school that I don't get killed by those crazy motorists who love to "bob and weave" into traffic. Learn how to drive!! I know how those crazy driving patterns work. You all literally end up at the same place if you're getting off at the same exit no matter if you pass if you're going within 5 mph of each other. That always happens to me. A car comes up from behind, passes me, ends up in front then I see them beside me at the exit. Yeah buddy who got so far ahead now and wasted all that gas for nothing? Uh you did!! okay sorry I just had to vent my frustrations. I, for once was talking out loud in the car to myself b/c I was just in disgust of those stupid idiots passing me then getting nowhere in passing. They were fine behind me but the little bmw ( I do love bmw's tho lol) had to pass me...plus all of those business men think they "own the road." whatever.....crazy people......
On the good side of life, but weird side of things....at work today I was in all 3 boxes and a lady called me in Kids and wanted me to check to see what hats and mittens they had in baby b/c no one was picking up the phone. She couldn't leave the car b/c she was watching her grandchild (young grandma) and was sorta frantic the mother didn't leave the lil girl with a hat/mittens and couldn't come in the store b/c the lil girl was sleeping in the car. So the lady was in her car outside of the store and wanted me to go to the door to show her what we had. Long story short, I showed her the merch in her car (it was SOOOOOOOOO FREEZING COLD OUT!!) and she did buy what I showed her. It was just kinda funny b/c she shopped from her car and I of course rang her up from inside. Just a lil odd! Then another weird thing...this guy was waiting for his wife or g/f and said he was looking for his "pumpkin." He said it so plainly and nonjokinly. I was like "okay?" NO one better be calling me their pumpkin! EEEK!!! lol
Alright I better go...I'm tired out. One of my dad's sorta friends came over b/c he wanted to transfer some stuff to a disk from our really old computer and his daughter (almost 14) came over. WHEWY....yeah...talk about tired out already! Girls talk really fast but this girl can talk really really fast and about sci-fi like no other. 90% of the time I just sat there in awe. I had no idea what she was talking about. Weird stuff I tell ya...it was nonstop....haha oh well! Hope she had fun hearing herself talk! lol jk jk later

Well I have a little time now to tell about my weekend! It was fabulous!! I had such a great time seeing some of my family- my cousins, and my really good friends who I miss a ton!! I left on Thursday after class around 3 and got to St. Louis around 3:40 (b/c of time difference). Don was there on time (way to go! yey!) and we headed to the closest mall to meet my cousin Lori and my lil cousins Abby and Bella at Nordstrom's. They all looked so cute! It was so nice to see them and I was glad they took time out of their day to meet me there. The 3 of us adults had some coffee/lattes that were delicious! mmmm so good!! Then we sat and talked for a little bit. Bella sang "Butterfly kisses" and Abby piped in a few times. Then Abby counted to 10 in Spanish and pretended she was a horse with the stroller as the carriage. They were funny :) . I think we probably stayed about an hour then hit the road for our 3 hour "tour" hahaha. We made it to Springfield in about 3 hours I think. Don dropped me off at Evangel and Julie and I went to her dorm so I could get "moved in." It was fun staying in the dorm. It's a whole other culture in there. People can come and go as they please. You get a call on your cell and the person is there within 2 minutes. You wash your dishes in the mini sink...you have a mini fridge. It was cool. Plus Amber & Julie have it decorated so cute..in my favorite colors..purple and teal/blue!! They were great dorm hosts! After I got settled in, Julie called Greg, and Greg, his friend Kacee, Julie, Don, Dan K. and I all went to this restaurant called Cheddar's. It was fun being together again and hanging out. I got chicken alfredo w/veggies and it lasted me like 3 meals!!

Friday, got up a lil before 9, got ready and called my friend Jessica and she came and picked me up at 10 b/c Julie and my other friends had class. So Jessica, baby Emma , and I went to the Bass Pro Shop and hung out there for a little while. It's huge!! I couldn't believe how big the store was! It's a camping, hunting, fishing, outdoors store with anything you can think of in it with like 5 aquariums, 1 75 yr old 170 lb turtle, and tons of fish. It also has a cafe and a McDonald's plus a coffee shop! We enjoyed the women's clothes section, but I didn't get anything for me! I was good this time! After that adventure, we went to a Japanese steakhouse where Jessica was so nice and treated me for lunch. It was where the chef cooked right in front of you. The man first made a volcano out of an onion and made it explode, made the rice into a beating heart, then a broken heart, caught an egg in his chef hat, and some other fancy food things. I got noodles, rice, veggies, and chicken and it was some of the best food I've ever had. For some reason it seemed like MO had some of the best food! It was sooooooooo good!!! After eating, Jessica had to go to the hospital to pick something up from a friend who she used to work with so I drove Emma around in the Jeep. Around 1:30 Jessica dropped me off at Julie's, got ready to go target shooting and Don picked me up a little after 2. We went over the safety rules and took off. We were going to go outside, but when we got there, there were too many guys so once again I was back at the Bass Pro Shop. We went indoors there. I shot a 22 and 9mm handguns. I liked the 22 better b/c it didn't jerk as much and was just a lil easier. The guy who put the locks on the guns before we walked through to the back thought I'd do better b/c I didn't have any bad habits yet. I did pretty good for the first time. I hit quite a few times in the black range of the target area and a few times I got really really close to the bullseye. It was tons of fun though! Good times!
After shooting, went back to Evangel & Julie and I got ready for dinner. While waiting for some of our other friends who were coming from home...Carsten, Evan, and Matt E, Julie, Don and I played tennis. I like tennis but it can be tiring!! We around 8:30 and went to Tasia -Taste of Asia....and ate dinner. I just got 2 egg rolls since I was full from earlier. It was delicious food too! Greg and Kacee met up with us a little later. Our group kept on getting bigger but it was fun. Everyone got along great. After dinner was the Mud House coffee shop. Wow...soo good too!! We were talking for awhile then I think Julie saw my old friend Jason and he came up and talked to me and Don to catch up on each other's lives. It was nice to see him b/c I hadn't seen him since like '99 I think when he moved. After coffee, all of us plus Jason, went to Dan K's apartment and watched "spaceballs" which is a movie off of starwars and the wizard of oz. It was kinda goofy. Curfew @ Evangel is 2 am on the weekends (I think) so the Evangel crew left around 1:30. Julie and I stayed up talking for quite awhile and I slept in on Saturday until around 10 I think??

Saturday...Julie and I got ready...and then went to the bookstore and I got a tour of a little bit of Evangel. After that we ate, and Amber (her roomie) drove us to the Evangel football game. I saw another friend, Hannah there and got caught up with her. I also met some more of Julie's friends. The game was halted for about a 1/2 hour b/c of the rain and lighting. I think I was ready to go when we came back b/c I'm not a football fan but it was fun ppl watching and hanging out. Evangel won and afterwards Julie and I packed up to go to her brother and sister-in-law's house for the night. I guess the guys went to hang out and get coffee. We went to TJ and Brianne's and their son, Ethan, came up to me and threw his arms out. He had only seen me like a few times before, but would have no idea who I was. I guess kids like me for some odd reason hahah. He's a cutie tho and we got along great. It was fun playing with him. He's really smart for only being 2! He picks up on everything that you say. I think Julie was just talking at the dinner table and said the word "count" in a sentence and Ethan starts couting like the count from Seasame Street. It was cute! There was a tornado watch out there and we heard the sirens go off. That was kinda scary. Sounded like an air raid or something. We were okay and after that passed, Ethan went to bed, and eventually we put on the movie "At First Sight."

Sunday morning Julie and I went to church w/TJ and Brianne at James River Assembly. It's huge!!! It has like a couple of Starbucks in it, a jungle gym pretty much inside...with the balls, a ton of different nursery's and a separate youth center which we need. The morning speaker was an assistant pastor ( a woman) from England who is 6 mo pregnant. She was really really good tho!! Great speaker. Then we went to Sunday School and I felt very welcomed there. The people were very friendly and open. We sang, a guy preached, then there was a discussion and it was over. That church is very time efficient which I liked. They say when they'll be done and they're done with getting their point across. After church we went back to Evangel, ate, and I packed up my stuff. We met the guys downstairs until I had to leave. Don picked me up around 2:15. Ha when all of us were walking to meet don, I was in the middle of Dan and Greg (who are very tall compared to me hehe) and I was pulling my suitcase and I felt like I had my 2 body guards with my posse behind me...3 other guys and Julie. It was funny. We hit the road around 3. We got there around 6 and made great time! My flight left around 7 and I made it home around 9:20. The flight was sorta bumpy and had a crazy crying kid who wouldn't shut up on it. The kid sounded like he was being killed or something! CRAZY!! Anyways...my vacation was over and I was back to reality. That was one of the best weekends I have had in a long time. It was filled with adventure, friends, and good food! heheh :) I miss them so much already...It's weird b/c I saw them every day in a row for like 4 days...now they're gone...and I'm back working and at school...papers...bills...yes reality has kicked in.....

So all in all from this past weekend, I rode in 5 different cars and 2 different planes within 4 days! WHEW!!

Hey just wanted to let people know I'm back from Missouri and had a GREAT time. I didn't want to come back!!! I will have to write about it tomorrow or in the next couple of days b/c I am soo tired and I have to get up for my 8 am class tomorrow. Good times though!! I loved it out there and I loved seeing ALL of my bestest buds and cousins! :)

I should be going to bed, but I thought I better write in here before I go. The rest of the weekend was pretty busy. On Sunday I went to church, then worked from 2-6:30 b/c I said I would since I'm going to MO for the weekend. (Plus I'd get in some hours for some $$). Then afterwards I met up w/Lindsay & Sarah to talk about the youth service on Wednesday. Yey we get to talk about "sex ed stuff." yippee..yea can't wait for those questions...eeeekkkkk...
Monday I got up @ 6 and really wanted to fall asleep in my first class, but didn't. Then at lunch time Yonn called and said we were going out to eat w/her friend from Art History. Well I see her and this really really tall black guy, then get closer and realize he's in my Int'l Business class. He's originally from Senegal, S.Africa. He's 6'7"!! Yonn and I look like tiny ants by him. Hhaha anyways..we went to Subway and afterwards Yonn and I were complaining we smelled like Subway...yea we took the smell right with us..yummy...His name is Code (with an accent over the e). He was fun to talk to and has a heavy accent. I just love CSU's diversity! It's so fun meeting all these ppl from all over the world! It amazes me! Afterwards in Gender Com we started watching this old movie, "Tootsie." It's actually pretty good. It has Dustin Hoffman and Bill Murray in it. Went home and napped then went to work, came home and tried to study with whatever I had left in me. Whewy...that was hard!
Today I had my Int'l Business test..Yeah it was pretty hard but I think a lot of the answers were in the questions. (well I'm hoping at least!) We'll see as I always say...then visited Lindsay (youth pastor's wife and friend) @ work @ Ladies Workout Express and worked till 5. I went to vote and the guy at the table didn't believe I was old enough to vote and he wanted to see my license. He was half kidding. He said I looked 18..phish...whatever...lol.. well I voted, came home, ate, went for a trim, came home, watched Gilmore Girls, packed for my trip, and chatted w/my cousin!!
OK time to go to bed!

Not a whole lot going on in Elizabeth's world....mainly studying and working. Yesterday I just had class and went to work. I got there early so I walked down to Bruegger's and got a Pumpkin Spice coffee. It was really good. I love it when starbucks etc..come out with their specialty coffees for fall. They're soo yummy!!! Last night I just came home and pretty much flopped. I was soo tired. I just watched my Friday night shows. I was going to work on homework but just didn't have the energy. Then today I went to the bank, then to work. Oh my word there were a lot of people. Last Saturday doesn't even compare!! Shesh!! I worked in all three stores floating whereever they needed a ringer and finally ended up in Kids. I literally rang all day long! I love ringing, but it really gets your muscles tired out. I hurt if you can believe it! All you're doing is moving left to right then up and down to get boxes. ay yi yi!!! Met some nice, interesting, and annoying people as usual. This one lady...wow was quite interesting. Needless to say- my day's aren't boring! Hopefully later on I can study. One interesting thing I saw was on my break tho. This lady was in her off white Cadalliac (sp?) and was waiting to parallel park right in front of these stores. Older people were slowly getting into their car and she was just going to sit there and wait not caring about holding up people behind her. I guess she couldn't park in the parking garage, get a little exercise and walk?? who knows? I just thought it was kinda funny!
I have to work tomorrow...not looking forward to that because I'm not working at all next weekend so I'll be working 6 days in a row. go me. yey.

Me as a fairy! Posted by Picasa

*My pumpkin* Posted by Picasa

Fun Weekend!!
Yes I had a great weekend! Friday I just worked and did some homework..the usual. Then Saturday I had the priviledge to hand out stickers for work b/c it was trick-or-treat around Crocker Park. It was from 11-1 so I didn't have to technically "work" for 2 hours which was pretty cool. It was nice to see the sunshine for once. My manager let me dress up as a fairy (my co-worker/friend & other manager had some wings on and was a fairy with me). We were the Gap fairies. Afterwards I changed but left my wings on. People enjoyed them! Came home and got ready for my friend's halloween party at her dad's house. It was with her young adults class from church. I picked up my friend Bethany (who dressed up as a red M & M) and we had tons of fun. We ate sloppy joes, played pictionary and catch-phrase (haha goodtimes with that game! lol) and some people had a pumpkin carving contest. I hadn't laughed so hard in a long time. The people I met were soo hilarious and entertaining. My friend Kim dressed up as a grape and her husband is a woman- a friend of theirs who is pregnant.
Sunday I went to church then afterwards me and some friends...(4 of us- I tell ya there's no one left here!!!) went to Panera. Mmm soo good. I got the cheddar and broccoli soup with a turkey sandwich. Later I just worked on homework.
Monday was the slowest day EVER at work. I worked at night during trick or treat and I was in Baby with like 7-10 customers the entire night. Let me tell you- that store looked good by the time we closed! hahaha
There's nothing else too much new. I had a test on Mon & today. I think I did good on today's test in gender comm. I hope!

Oh one thing I've noticed (just anywhere) when I'm driving...if you drive a 2 door Chevy Cavalier...you're bound to get your trunk smooshed in from behind. I tell ya, everywhere I go, some Cavalier's trunk is bent or they've been in some accident. So if you have one, be aware...or if you don't - my advice to you - DON'T GET ONE- YOU'LL GET IN AN ACCIDENT!!!!!
L8ter :)
